Grasemere Gingerbread
Grasmere Gingerbread is a product renowned for its history, tradition and delicious taste. The gingerbread was first made by Sarah Nelson in 1854, and today is still made in the same cottage, to the same recipe.
Shop Manager Joanne Wilson and Baker husband Andrew Hunter have - through a series of imaginative product developments, technological and marketing initiatives - made Grasmere Gingerbread a much sought after delicacy.
It is an ambassador for the North West region and has been taken on many missions worldwide to symbolise that fact. Today the gingerbread is world famous and is distributed across the globe via mail order but still only via the shop itself - a personal guarantee of integrity and quality from Joanne and Andrew. They are proud of its provenance and dedicated to its future.
